Using Middleware to Connect eCommerce Platforms to Custom Code ERPs

Our partners over at Briteskies specialize in three main areas of focus: ERP, eCommerce, and integration. While some clients require support in just one of these areas, many businesses benefit from a blend of all three, melded together through an intricate web of solutions: architecting, code development, and functional necessity.

A few years back, a business approached the Briteskies team for an eCommerce implementation project. The customer was running JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as their ERP and were looking to create an eCommerce platform to enable online sales channels and ultimately an increase in revenue overall.
It was determined that the eCommerce site would be created using the Magento platform, currently known as Adobe Commerce, and with almost every ERP eCommerce integration project, a strong integration pathway between JDE and the eCommerce platform was essential. As information was going to continue to be stored in the JD Edwards ERP, it was imperative that the customers Warehouse Management System (WMS) continued to integrate seamlessly with the ERP and would be updated accurately and in real time according to the online orders coming in from the eCommerce site.
Our team worked hand in hand with Briteskies throughout the entire implementation from the initial discovery to post go-live support. We helped architect and implement an enterprise grade middleware fully aligned with the ecommerce implementation needs based around the key requirements to provided Briteskies.

As the Briteskies team has a strong background in JDE ERP and Magento, this proved to be essential to project success as we designed the APIs and tested the final solution in development and production environments. With the middleware now running fully on autopilot, the business’s ERP and WMS are communicating and passing data back and forth to the eCommerce platform in real-time allowing for enhanced business operations and processes.

As partners working together for 5 years, the Briteskies team is knowledgeable, professional, and are often the first team we think of when we need additional assistance.

Cheers to a wonderful partnership and looking forward to many more years together!
